So, I’m learning Photoshop…hence the new header! It’s not perfect and I don’t love it, but it’s better than before and I’m slowly learning what I can do with it! I do love the background on the sides. Header… Background… I am enjoying the learning and all I can do with it! I have a long way to go! Here is the new page I made today for my binder when I conduct new shop training. I’m such a nerd. I should have used that my blog background for the page I made today…oh well.

I took a neat pic of Toby today that I thought I’d post…I’m still learning. I don’t think the focus is perfect. I’d like to see the bush to Toby’s right more out of focus. I have some work to do on focus – need to read more about it, but first….off to write a masters paper…what fun!

Photography Books

A few of my friends on Facebook have asked what books I’m reading to learn how to use my new camera. The “Understanding Exposure” book was recommended by many photographers. The Dummies series was my idea – I love the Dummies series and have already learned SO much and I’m on chapter 3 of ONE of those books ! The Photoshop Elements 8 book was recommended by my BFF who is a photographer. I’ll also write back and let you know what I think of them after reading them if I don’t like any of them but SO FAR they all look GREAT! I’ll be taking these with me and reading them on the beach soon! My tote bag (as shown in another post today) ...

Matching??!! :-O

It’s the little things in life. I am SOO excited that my carry on bags for my upcoming trip all match. I am just thrilled. And, I totally didn’t plan it! My laptop bag, my camera bag and my tote bag for my books, magazines and food are all in white, navy and a form of Robins Egg Blue. Yay! Even my little Jill-e cleaning wipe is matching…it’s just insane! I blurred out my monogram….trying to keep this blog private from my name, though I’m not sure if I’ve been successful with that….I may change my mind, but for now….. And no, I am not matching my outfit w/ the bags! I am dressing a bit nicely on the plane though – jeans, flats, graphic ...

Class Action North Country

Yeah yeah, I’m supposed to be working on my Masters Paper today but I’m writing it on hostile work environment sexual harassment cases and I pulled out the book “Class Action: The Story of Lois Jenson and the Landmark Case That Changed Sexual Harassment Law” and thought I’d be sure to let you all know what a GREAT read it is! Above is the movie poster from the movie that was written based on the same book. I, personally, liked the book better, but then I always do (except for The Notebook…sorry Nicholas Sparks).
