We love Baby Led Weaning at our house! It comes natural to us. It’s how we are. It just makes sense. It’s easy. And she loves it!
We feed ourselves as much real food as we can and we feed her 99.9% real food. She has nibbled on some crap here and there: cheerios at play groups [and that's my secret weapon plan for flying the next time], crap at restaurants, teething biscuits at desperate moments. But for the most part REAL foods it is.
One of our secret weapons at our house is FROZEN VEGGIES….especially frozen broccoli and asparagus. These are our two favorite teethers!
Teethers only worked for a few seconds and then they were on the floor. BUT a piece of frozen broccoli or asparagus is good for 10 minutes…easy! Sometimes more! And, she’d eat it! Bonus: eating dark green veggies!
[Warning: be careful with toddlers with a stick of frozen asparagus walking and toddling around!]
