Project 52: 19 | I’m free!!!!

May 17, 2011 photography May 17, 2011

We had the most fun the other day taking Toby for a walk in the woods and letting him off leash. We wouldn’t let him in the lake and he got us back….by laying in a mud puddle! Didn’t. See. That. One. Coming. He was the happiest dog….both clean and dry and later when he got muddy and dirty, running around…. I’M FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s less fun these days walking….it’s not quite as comfortable and I’m a little slower than I was a few weeks go. I’m looking forward to more shower and maternity pics!! I’ll share them as soon as I get them! We finished off most of the registry this last week! I’m so excited to get it all and set it all up! ...

Project 52: 15 | Black & Tan

April 18, 2011 photography April 18, 2011

You all know I’ve been using this Project 52 project to learn more about photography and branch out! I’ve tried new things! I’ve tried new lenses. I’ve tried new actions!  It’s been fun! Meet Mitchell. He has forced me to learn about editing ONE aspect of the photo.  Mitchell is black. Toby is tan. It’s hard to get the lighting right for both of them in the SAME photo!  In the top photo I had to lighten Mitchell because he was so black you couldn’t see his features. In the photo to the left I had to darken Toby because he looked like a ghost and you couldn’t see his features!  It’s been fun to learn about some different actions and how to use them. ...

This is a big year. A big year of changes. All good changes. All blessings. We are so blessed! Last week, I enjoyed my home for one last week.  We lived in that home….our first home purchase…for 4 years. In my life I’ve only lived one place longer, that was 7 years (from 1st to 8th grade). All other homes since then were NEVER more than a year…yes, I said it….ONE year. Not only was this MY first house [n0t parents' house], but it was also a house I lived in for MUCH longer than others. I am a nester. I was a nester before pregnancy. I am a super-nester now. I loved that house. I will always love that house. I loved that yard. ...

busy, busy…. FITori update

February 23, 2011 personal February 23, 2011

This has been a really busy week and I haven’t been on my computer much. I’ve been busy at work [it's a short week at work] and busy with all that we have going on. I’ve spent a lot of my spare time reading about organizing and reading my baby books….makes me feel less stressed! :) Make sure to “LIKE” my FITori page on Facebook because when I get busy like this I still like to have fun discussions on my FB page. I love to learn from you all!!! I ask fun questions and love to read your answers and I’m always available to answer your questions, though sometimes it takes me a while to get back to you OR I tell you I ...

Project 52:7 | Enjoying the outdoors….

February 21, 2011 photography February 21, 2011

The tail end of last week was crazy getting the house ready to show for the first time! YAY! We still have work to do. Why? Because I want the house perfect! BUT it looks great. I still haven’t rented an ultra-wide angle lens yet for pics but plan to…unless we sell the house ridiculously fast.  I still need to get pics of the outside but I want to do a bit of landscaping and I’d love to get some great pics of the grass being GREEN and trees not looking bald and dead! Since the weather has been nicer and the house  has been ready (after weeks of feeling like I had to prep it for the sale), we’re enjoying a bit of a ...
