Category Archives: women A few years ago when I was looking for Netflix to recommend movies and TV shows for me, Netflix told me that I liked “strong female leads.” Why yes, Netflix! You are so smart! I DO like shows with strong female leads! One of my favorite shows was Alias partially because Jennifer Garner kicks ass!...  You all know by now that I love muscles! I love the physique of a tough, strong, muscular woman. I have a great respect for women who work hard to stay lean and strong now that I’ve done it! It’s hard work! My idea of a strong and healthy physique has changed. I no longer...  Yeah yeah, I’m supposed to be working on my Masters Paper today but I’m writing it on hostile work environment sexual harassment cases and I pulled out the book “Class Action: The Story of Lois Jenson and the Landmark Case That Changed Sexual Harassment Law” and thought I’d be sure to let you all know...  In honor of my last post about Fitness Logs, I thought I’d share an image I had glued onto one of mine for a while. I love the ad. Hopefully I haven’t blogged about it before and just forgotten! But, I don’t advocate Hydroxycut. Love the ad, but I don’t think supplements like this are...  Just thought I’d briefly share this documentary that is very interesting. I’ve been aware of these pro-ana websites for years….about a decade. The documentary calls these sites “new” but they are not new at all. When I was suffering from my eating disorder, I visited some of these sick pro-ana sites for inspiration. I understand...  I saw the author, Jordan Matter, on the news the other day promoting the release of his new book, “Uncovered” and the part of his interview that caught my attention was not that he was photographing naked, topless women in public, but rather what he was saying about how the women felt about their bodies....  I love this image and think it’s a great idea for a pic of me at some point….but I think it shows in one image what she is thinking, mentally preparing for her next lift. To me, she is “talking” to herself saying something like… “You rock!” “You’re a beast!” “Light weight” “This is easy”...  I have mixed emotions about this book, like many other friends and bloggers. But, like ANY how-to book or political book, for example….I don’t think we have to agree with every word in the book in order to pull something from it to apply to our lives or to learn something. So, my opinion on...  As you all know, Monica Brant placed a whopping 6th at the Arnold!! But, these are some of the amazing photos she took around that same time. Talk about inspiration!!!!
