We had our big ultrasound on Monday! We were so excited to see her. It’s been a couple of months since we’ve “seen” her! It’s funny to think about my mom’s generation who got one ultrasound or none at all. We are so spoiled today with our technology! We got to see her moving around in there in 4D and it was really cool! But, she was taking a nap so we probably didn’t get the best “show”…we’ll have to wait a few more weeks to really see her! 
CAN’T WAIT!!!
Our little FITbaby girl…..
- has hair!!!
- has chubby cheeks!!! (see the left-hand pic above!)
- is sucking her thumb!!! (see the right-hand pic above!)
- is head down!!!
- is a fatty!!! She’s measuring at almost 5 lbs! (should be 3.75 and she’s 4.75!) But ultrasounds are wrong all the time, so who knows! (Don’t worry….she’s still in the normal range…she won’t be a Monster!)
- had her hands in front of her face for most of the time and was rubbing her eyes and playing coy
- is the cutest thing ever AND WE CAN’T WAIT TO MEET HER!!!
I’ve heard that if a baby is born with little hair, they will have a FULL head of hair later…..
Was your baby (or were you) born with hair? Did he/she/you have tons of hair later if born bald, or vice versa?

Ah! I absolutely LOVE it!! Was this 3-D covered under our insurance, or did you and Charlie pay out of pocket for it? I want to do this just to see the pictures! So absolutely precious!! I can’t believe her cute little cheeks!! Oh, and I was born with *some* hair, but it was very sparse….now, holy cow. I’ve got hair!! Can’t wait for the final debut of Baby Bolt!
Thanks!!! You’re too sweet!!! Now I REALLY can’t wait to meet her! We are really lucky. Our OB is great about doing sonograms w/o charging insurance. She just does them “for fun” she says. It’s part of the reason she’s the most popular OB in this area! We all love her! So, we didn’t have to pay. We just got a few min of it though…I’m sure you might get more if you pay for it. And, it’s not covered under Tricare (from what I understand!) Have you asked your OB what the cost is, if any?
She is just adorable! I know y’all are so excited to meet her in a few short weeks. James had dark hair when he was born…and then it turned red…and now it’s blond with roots. I do not understand the baby hair phenomenon, but I hope she has your curly hair. That would be fun for bows and such!
That is so crazy! My mom thinks she’ll have dark curly hair! We’ll see if she’s right. I do selfishly hope that she has curls!
How precious. She looks like she’s smiling in the second picture, too. Love it. Both of my kids were just born with peach fuzz hair, and they stayed bald until they were nearly 18 months old. Or at least, they looked like it because their hair was so light.
I think she’s smiling all the time…well when she’s not bracing to kick me!

I know! It’s so crazy to not know and soon it’ll be “any day now”…crazy! And, so exciting!
JEALOUS! We haven’t had an ultrasound since 20 weeks. She’s a cutie!!!
Don’t you hate that?! It made me want to see her tho so much more when I saw those pics!! And, now every time I look at them…which is about a hundred times a day! we’re so lucky…our OB gives tons of free pics!
oh my gosh, she’s perfect!!!
My daughter (almost 4) was born with black hair. It never fell out, but she had a mohawk for a long time until the sides started thickening and catching up with the middle strip. It was hilarious. And it didn’t stay black for long. It turned light brown pretty quickly.
I heard hair gives you more heartburn while you’re pregnant. I did have quite a bit at the end.

Gooner had a TON OF HAIR! She always has. When I was in labor, after my waters broke, they kept reaching in and telling me her hair was already an inch long… It was straight with a few curls and THEN the curls came. Yowza. I love it! I can’t wait to see your little one!!!!
