I thought I’d post this today to inspire you all to do something fun to your house this weekend like I did last!!
So, I wanted hubby to paint for me [since I'm preggo] but he knows I love to paint things MYSELF and I like it done MY way so he got me a gas mask to try…IT WORKED!!! The thing is amazing! I couldn’t smell a thing! It was lovely! :) He kept walking into the room saying, “You can’t smell that?!” I was merrily painting away saying, “NOPE!” It was bliss! We left right after the painting, left the windows open and ran errands and when we got back…all gone!!! [Granted, I only did a wee bit of "touch up" and the vent shown below]

I had to share this project with you!!! I LOVE painting over things that don’t need to “stick out” in the walls! I still need to do a 2nd coat, but I love painting things like return vents so they don’t stick out like a sore thumb!!! It was white (forgive me for not taking a before pic!) and stuck out every time I walked past it! Now, I don’t even notice it and when I do notice it….it makes me happy!
Any weekend [house] projects planned? Have you done any fun ones recently? SHARE! I love learning from you!

You look adorable in a gas mask, lol! Sweet hubby to pick that up for you so you could get your paint on!
Why thank you ma’am!!! Sweet hubby to get that for me so that HE doesn’t have to get HIS paint on!
Oh man, we needed one of these when we were repainting our house!
Tori, that gas mask is FABULOUS!!! I love the photo!!! No fun household things, but I’m hoping to do some redecorating this summer. I’ll be sure to do befores and afters then. Have a great weekend!
Michele, PLEASE do B&As! Love them! So Fun! I will try to remember to post my B&As of this house in a few months!
Yes, the gas mask is a GREAT accessory to any outfit!
Esp painting clothes purchased in college!
That look is hilarious!
I was just talking with my daughter about doing a home painting project together.
Did you use the eco-paint with no VOC’s?
Are you into that kind of thing?
I tried to be as organic as I could especially for the first year.
Thanks!
I should have been clearer about that….I am cheap. I wanted to use up old paint from a few years back and not buy new! SO it is not the eco kind! I plan to use the eco paint for ANY new paint purchasing, incl baby’s room! I think being as organic as possible is great, incl the mattress, laundry detergent, etc!
Good job! I’ve just been a terrible momma-to-be and painted like normal anyway. Sigh. Repainted a chair that didn’t match a room this weekend. Will be doing the nursery next weekend, I think.
My hubby was the enforcer w/ this whole thing! He’s really cute!
PLEASE SHARE THE NURSERY!!! I’ll live vicariously through you b/c I don’t know if we’re doing a nursery until after she’s born!
