A few years ago when I was looking for Netflix to recommend movies and TV shows for me, Netflix told me that I liked “strong female leads.” Why yes, Netflix! You are so smart! I DO like shows with strong female leads! One of my favorite shows was Alias partially because Jennifer Garner kicks ass! I definitely recommend Alias though the last few seasons (if I recall) weren’t quite as good as the first few.
This morning on the Today Show they did a story that the Fall TV Lineup for 2010 has a lot of new shows that have a Strong Female Lead or a Female Heroine. Yay! I love to hear that! I can’t wait to check them out. A few that they mentioned were Chase (on NBC), Nikita (CW Network) & Covert Affairs (USA Network). Let’s see how they do!

Covert Affairs is already having it’s 2 hr season finale this week! I watch this show and it is pretty good! I also like Rookie Blue (about a female rookie cop), and Rizzoli and Isles (about a female cop in Boston and her best friend who is the Medical Examiner in Boston). All of those are ending their seasons in the coming couple of weeks to start the new season though…
Kate – I tried all of those but didn’t LOVE them….I don’t know why…..maybe I’ll give them a try again. I usually watch those shows in the background while I’m blogging or working on something so I’m only giving them half the attention they deserve!
Buffy the Vampire was my favourite show for years! I also like True Blood – Sookie, the female lead, holds her own against vampires and werewolves and isn’t scared to take care of herself.
