recipe | The Official Abs Diet Burger

The recipe can be found here. or order the book!  My husband and I love these burgers…LOVE LOVE LOVE! The Abs Diet books are GREAT for recipes and understanding what foods and ingredients do to you and your body. This recipe came out of the smaller recipe book as shown here.

The Official Abs Diet Burger


  • 1 egg
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped spinach
  • 2 Tablespoons Mexican blend cheese [we use full fat in our house]
  • Salt & Pepper


In a large bowl, whisk egg. Add everything else, mixing it–your hands are the best tool–until well blended.  Form into four patties.  Place burgers in a grill pan or nonstick skillet that’s heated over medium-high heat. Cook 6 minutes per side or to desired level of doneness.
